PAT Testers - Portable Appliance Testers

Available for Hire.

Not only can you be fully trained in the use of PAT testing via our training centres www.mark1training.co.uk but you can now hire portable testers from any of our depots. Compact but still available to offer all 5 tests: Earth Bond, Insulation, Run Current, Run Leakage & Flash Test, these units are all you need to fully test your electrical appliances.

Our opening hours over Easter are closed Good Friday, open Saturday from 7:30 to 1:00pm and closed Easter Monday.

We have a special Easter charge for equipment, please phone your nearest depot for details.

DPC Bulk Injection Gun (26/03/2010 @ 11:55:53)

This simple to use applicator gun negates the need of a pump to inject DPC fluid into damp brickwork. The DPC cream comes in handy 600cc foil cartridges. Check out the full spec under "various" in our Building Equipment category.

At Mark 1 Hire we take site safety very seriously and have invested heavily to replace our entire CAT and Genny fleet with the latest CAT3+ and Genny3 from Radiodetection. Buried utilities represent a major hazard to construction workers the world over. Poorly planned excavations can cause cable or pipe damage resulting in costly repairs, delays and more importantly personal injury. The CAT3+ (Cable Avoidance Tool) and Genny3 range are designed to locate these services so that they can be avoided.

To run along side our larger generator fleet we now offer a diesel bowser for hire. This road tow 960litre unit comes complete with 110v or hand operated pump and conforms to all legal regulations.

New additions to Powered Access (06/10/2009 @ 10:07:31)

We have added 3 new products to our ever growing powered access fleet. The Genie GR12 Runabout is a compact, low weight machine which is driveable when fully elevated. Ideal for store picking,inventory management or general maintenance and construction. Also new is the Genie GS2632 sissor lift. At only 32 inches wide, but with a platform height of 26ft it is the perfect machine for manoeuvring in tight spaces. Finally we have the UK manufactured Power Tower. You simply push in position, step into the platform, and press a button. Simple and safe.

Super Props now on fleet (22/08/2009 @ 10:18:09)

We have added aluminium Super Props to our fleet. They can carry up to twelve times the capacity of steel props but do not weigh too much more than a steel prop. Check out Building Equipment-Supports.

We now hire mobile fire points perfect for the event business. They come complete with two fire extinguishers, fire blanket, sand bucket, fire bell all on a mobile stand.

Equipped with an 4WD system for superior traction.

4 hydraulic self leveling jacks.

Featuring up to 50% gradeability, these machines can operate on any job site terrain.

Standard 1.5M roll out extension deck for increased platform space and reach capabilities.

Model is drivable at full height with the roll deck fully extended.

Robin King, one of our course trainers has successfuly passed his RTITB forklift truck exam. We can now offer a 1,3 or 5 day training program for counter balance forklift trucks accredited to the RTITB. Continuous Use Wet Pick Up Vacuum (20/11/2008 @ 16:34:33)

This heavy duty vacuum is designed to address the needs of specialist operations requiring the continuous collection and discharge of bulk liquids. The vacuum incorporates a fully automatic pump which operates when a certain level is reached in the collection bucket. The liquid is discharged via a 10 metre long outlet hose.

Cordless Reciprocating Saw (10/11/2008 @ 09:48:51)

Due to customer demand we have now added the Dewalt DC315 cordless reciprocating saw to our hire fleet. The DC315 comes complete with two powerful 28v batteries with a quick 1 hour recharge time and weighs in at 3.6Kg.

HSE Dust Suppression Initiative, Mark One Hire offers free dust suppression bottles. (10/10/2008 @ 10:22:59)

To support the HSE project to reduce respiratory dieseases in kerb and block cutting, Mark One Hire will offer dust suppression water pressure containers free to hirers of petrol cut off saws.

Overhead Rail Tile Cutter Added To Our Fleet (23/09/2008 @ 08:25:22)

After the success of bench mounted overhead tile cutters we have added a smaller machine to our hire fleet. The Rubi DU200 has a powerful 1hp motor which is mounted on sliding bearings resulting in very smooth and straight cutting lines. It has a 200mm diamond blade and the capability of cutting 450mm long tiles. Check out the full spec in our "cutting" section.

New Battery Supalite added to fleet (28/08/2008 @ 11:58:01)

We have added LED Supalites to our hire fleet. These rechargeable lights give the equivalent of 300 watts of light for up to 14 hours depending on power setting. See them in the lighting section.

We now stock the revolutionary Rippa carbide blade. These carbide cluster blades will cut through everything a diamond blade can`t.
